EmuBox

EmuBox is a more contemporary emulator with a whole lot of systems that are compatible. That includes PlayStation, SNES, and yes, Nintendo DS. This is one of the very few emulators using Material Design. This makes it great looking. Thankfully, in addition, it works fine. We didn’t have some critical difficulties playing the games we’ve tested. Many have lamented some bugs using the emulator when using a lot of cheat codes, but the Google Play reviews are also largely favorable. It’s a completely free emulator using advertising. We hope a pro version without ads comes eventually.
NDS Emulator

NDS Emulator is one of the newer Nintendo DS emulators. It has all the fundamental features such as external control aid, save nations, load states, and customizable onscreen game pads. It performed all those games we attempted during testing also. It is far from ideal and there are bugs. Nonetheless, this is one of the superior complimentary Nintendo DS emulators available. There are advertisements and they are quite annoying. We would have liked a way to pay to remove them. It’s not the one we’d recommend first, but it’s definitely in the top five.
RetroArch

RetroArch is a all-in-one emulator. It supports a variety of game programs. Including the Nintendo DS, Game Boy, SNES, Game Boy Advance, and Lots of non-Nintendo systems. You need to download and install every system separately within the app. That usually means you are going to have to download this, receive the Nintendo DS core, and then you can play games. It supports all of the fundamental capabilities. It is not the easiest to use. However, it’s totally free with no in-app purchases or advertisements. It is also in active development right now.
SuperNDS
Cost: Free
SuperNDS is the newest Nintendo DS emulator in the listing. It supports NDS, ZIP, 7z, along with RAR file types also contains most of the stuff you’d expect in an emulator like save states and other similar things. It is a rather basic emulator without a ton of features and it may take some digging into the settings to get it working correctly. It will crash more often than we’d love to see, but it’s newer than many so here’s hoping future upgrades fix that.
